This site has been developed for the sole purpose
of raising money for local chairities in Panama, specifically orphanages
in and around Panama City.
Every cent raised by the Charity Ex-pats social gatherings, arranged through this site, will go to
orphanages. All of us who have moved here know we have a better
lifestyle for a lower cost and some of us have decided it is time to give
something back to the ones who need it most. This thought
sent by one of our supporters says it all thought
for the day.
We have a social meeting once each month where we can get together and chat about our experiences in Panama, enjoy an evening together and raise money for a good cause close to all our hearts. There are many needy children here who will have an unprecidented grantitude for our generosity.
When we visited and spoke to the orphanages about what they really need, it became our intention to try and provide as much as possible. They would also appreciate any volunteers who are willing to give up some of their spare time to help at the orphanage. You do not have to be able to speak Spanish to teach these children English. They are willing to learn and want to see a light at the end of the tunnel. It may be possible in the future for some of the Ex-pat businesses to even employ the children.
